These terms govern your use of www.stemed.org, run by STEM-ED, Inc. ("STEM-ED", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you register a team, sections 3 and 4 also apply to that registration. Questions go to support@stemed.org.
1Who may use the site#
Anyone may read the site. Registration is for adults: a coach registers a team and accepts these terms for it. The gate-run leaderboard is for people 13 and older. If you are under 18, use the site with a parent or guardian's permission.
2Using the site#
Please use the site lawfully and respectfully. Do not:
- submit false information, register for someone without their permission, or impersonate anyone;
- post a leaderboard name or time that is offensive, misleading or not your own run, or try to manipulate the board;
- send spam or automated submissions, probe or attack the site, or interfere with its operation;
- copy the site at scale or use it to collect information about other people.
We may remove a leaderboard entry or refuse a submission that breaks these rules.
3Team registration#
- The 2026–27 registration fee is $1,200 per team, due Friday, December 11, 2026. The fee is non-refundable and pays for competition supplies, venue costs and prize money.
- The coach confirms that the information submitted is accurate and that they have permission to share each student's details with STEM-ED.
- The coach and team captain agree to receive emails from STEM-ED about the competition and to share that information with the team.
- STEM-ED may decline a team name it considers inappropriate.
- A registered team takes part under the season rulebook published on this site. If the rulebook and this page differ about the competition, the rulebook controls.
- Each student must have a participant waiver signed by a parent or guardian before taking part in an event.
4AirXRP drone kits#
Asking for AirXRP kits on the registration form, or by email, is a request, not a completed purchase. STEM-ED will follow up with price, payment and delivery details, and the kit order is confirmed only when you accept those terms. Kits are subject to availability.
5Events, safety and drones#
Drone building and flight carry real risks. Teams are responsible for following the rulebook's safety rules, the safety guide, applicable FAA rules and the instructions of event staff. Participation in events is governed by the participant waiver, which controls if it conflicts with these terms.
6Donations#
Donations are processed by GiveLively and are subject to its terms. STEM-ED, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization; your receipt states whether and how much of a gift is tax-deductible. Donations are not refundable except where required by law or in the case of a processing error, which you can report to support@stemed.org.
7Our content#
The STEM-ED and ARC names and logos, and the text, rulebooks, images and code on this site belong to STEM-ED or are used with permission. You may read, print and share them for personal, school and non-commercial educational use, including teaching from the rulebook, as long as you keep the STEM-ED attribution. Any other use needs our written permission.
8What you send us#
You keep ownership of what you submit. You allow STEM-ED to use it to run the competition and this site, including showing your leaderboard name and time on the board.
9Other sites#
Links to other sites are for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.
10Disclaimers#
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, STEM-ED disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Dates, fees and rules on the site can change; the current rulebook and our direct communications to registered teams control.
11Limitation of liability#
To the extent the law allows, STEM-ED and its directors, staff and volunteers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the site. Our total liability for any claim related to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid STEM-ED in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here changes the participant waiver.
12Governing law#
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be heard in the state or federal courts serving Okaloosa County, Florida.
13Changes and contact#
We may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it. Contact us at support@stemed.org or STEM-ED, Inc., 574 Parish Blvd., Mary Esther, FL 32569.
