Build, Code, Fly — Learn

Approaching robotics & autonomy with an ethical frame of reference

Our Mission

Since its founding in 2013, STEM-ED Inc. has evolved through many phases of growth, with its most defining strides emerging in the wake of COVID-19. Reimagined and solidified during the 2021–22 school year, our mission is simple:

To inspire a passion for STEM and illuminate the doors it can unlock for students across diverse backgrounds and learning environments.

What We Do

STEM-ED Inc. connects educators and volunteers with students through engaging, hands-on competitions—most notably the Aerospace Robotics Competition® (ARC). These events create excitement and foster collaboration while introducing students to:

  • Coding & software development

  • Aeronautics & aerospace principles

  • Robotics & unmanned flight systems

Through these challenges, students gain real-world experience, build confidence, and develop valuable technical and teamwork skills.

Our Core Values

We believe meaningful STEM education is rooted in three values:

  • Integrity – Demonstrate honesty and fairness

  • Excellence – Strive to reach your highest potential

  • Respect – Uplift and value each other in every interaction

We hold ourselves and each other accountable to these values as we pursue growth and success together.

Our Objectives

  • Provide instruction in STEM fields including robotics, unmanned systems, and aeronautics

  • Offer students competitive challenges that foster innovation

  • Host and promote unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) competitions

  • Support educators with classroom-ready materials and guidance

  • Connect schools with skilled volunteers for mentorship and project support

Goal One: Build

Learn about aerospace vehicles

Goal Two: Code

Design and run code on drones

Goal Three: Fly

Pilot drones and get FAA certification
